Mountain Gin comes straight from the heart of Mount Macedon in North-Western Victoria, Australia. This wonderfully complex gin is distilled with locally foraged native botanicals, fresh spring water and just a small dash of mountain spirit. Not to mention, it received a coveted Gold Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in its first year of operation. Which is by no means an easy feat!
The gin itself has a combination of eight botanicals including locally foraged pine needles and Mountain Pepperberry as well as orange zest, lemon myrtle and coriander, and of course the necessary juniper.
The gin has a subtle spice and a citrus background with a clean, vibrant and aromatic spirit best enjoyed with a slither of blood orange and a light tonic or even simply with soda water.
