A martini by the water? Yes, please. The Seaside Martini takes the coastal charm of Yours & Mine Gin and pairs it with a touch of Noilly Prat dry vermouth and a dash of olive brine for a bracing, elegant sip. Garnished with Sicilian olives and a twist of lemon, it’s the perfect partner for your favourite fish and chips—or any fresh South Australian seafood.
It’s zesty, smooth, and unapologetically sophisticated, yet relaxed enough to enjoy with a side of crispy calamari. This is more than a martini—it’s a seaside escape in a glass.
INGREDIENTS
- 60ml Yours & Mine Gin
- 15ml Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth
- 3ml Olive brine
GARNISH
- Lemon peel
- Sicillian olives
METHOD
- At least 30 minutes ahead of time, put a Martini glass into your freezer.
- First fill up a mixing glass with ice, then pour in vermouth, then strain out.
- Add gin, olive brine, and stir for 16 seconds or until the outside of your glass is all nice and frosty.
- Double strain into martini glass, express lemon oils over the drink and rim the glass with peel.
- Garnish with olives and enjoy. Excellent after (or with!) your favourite fish and chips.
While Yours & Mine Gin goes well with just about anything, Geordan and Lindon recommend trying it alongside a good old-fashioned serve of fish and chips by the water – “have a greasy plate of fresh, South Australian seafood (oysters, prawns, squid, tuna) and then sit back to a Seaside Martini. It’ll rock your socks off!”
